![]() Razing and resettling also poses its own problem as you need to spend the time and gold rebuilding the settlements back up so they are profitable and don't have constant PO problems. This really adds up and I can now maintain 3 stacks and a half with base income alone, and al lthese stacks have a number of expensive units. I'm at turn 120 with most of my settlements well developed and each province offers upwards of 1k per turn + the non negligible bonuses to sacking and raiding + the 1% less upkeep from the growth building chain that I stick everywhere I can. Norscan settlements don't offer much sacking income, and can offer some nice tax returns in fact. So sacking a single capital is 10 turns worth of full Norsca income.Ĭonfederate unless you really need the dosh right now. Built up capital usually nets between 30-40,000 with a few sacking bonuses from followers, traits, skills, etc. The AI will build up the capital just in time for round 2 of sacking in 15-20 turns and so on. I found the best farming strategy is the raze the minor settlements and leave the province capital standing after sacking twice. Just to let you know a fully developed Norsca only adds around 4,000 per turn- nice amount but probably not enough to even keep 1 high level army in the field so you'll still have to spend most of your time sacking no matter what. ![]() Next turn with Wulfrik dead the Norscans accepted confederation and I didn't even have to send an army north or do anything in Norsca and received fully developed Norsca plus Erengrad back for free. Heck in my campaign as Throgg, Wulfrik attacked and captured remaining settlements in Norsca then attacked Erengrad, in that battle the Feral Mammoth in the garrison killed Wulfrik but his army won the battle. ![]() Eventually you can send 1 army back to Norsca and beat whomever proves to be the winner and confed with a fully developed Norsca without having to spend your time and money on the lands there yourself. Far easier is to get 1 base of operations to recruit a bit better units and let the Norscan tribes fight amongst themselves while you sack and raze in the south. If you confed right away you have to pay to build up Norsca and deal with the rebellions etc. Grab 1 province, probably Sarl's Camp and Bay of Blades, Tower of Khrack and ignore the rest for awhile. 2K A Total War Saga: Thrones of Britannia.848 A Total War Saga: Fall of the Samurai.
